Love Pizza Hut? This Pizza Hut sauce recipe is similar to the taste of Pizza Hut's sauce. Give it a try!
While I can't claim to have the exact sauce recipe, I can say that I've tried two recipes now that come pretty darn close!
They are both easy as can be, and quite yummy. My kitchen actually smelled like Pizza Hut when I made both of these sauces.
Pair either of these with a Pizza Hut crust recipe and you have yourself a homemade, restaurant quality pizza!
(In full disclaimer, I think the first recipe is my favorite, but it's
pretty close. They aren't radically different. The spices just vary a
tad. Try them both
and see which one you like better.)
Pizza Hut Sauce Recipe #1 (This makes enough for about 2 9-inch pizzas. Double the ingredients for more sauce or bigger pizzas.)
Ingredients
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Let them sit and marinate for 1 hour. Then spread on your favorite Pizza Hut dough recipe and enjoy!
This picture has the sauce in a sauce pan, but you don't actually cook it on the stove, so you can use a bowl if you like.
Easy, right?
Ingredients
Directions
Throw all the above ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Let sauce simmer for about 30 minutes.
When I made this sauce it was a tad watery, but I took it off the heat quickly and put it right on the pizza. I suggest letting it sit for a couple minutes after the 30 minutes to let it thicken a bit, and use a hair less than 1/4 cup water.
Spread over your favorite pizza dough recipes and enjoy!
