This pumpkin pizza recipe is a delicious dessert pizza recipe in the fall or during the holidays.
Enjoy this as a sweet end to a meal, or you can even try it for breakfast!
This pizza may sound a little odd, but you'd be surprised how sweet of a treat it really is.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix the butter sugar and butter together until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla; mix until well blended.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, and baking powder. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and blend together on low speed. Remove and shape into a smooth ball.
Place the dough on a pizza pan, pizza baking stone or cookie sheet and pat out gently to the edges.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden brown on the edges. Let cool before topping.
Tip: (To save time, you could also try using a refrigerated sugar cookie dough.)
Place cream cheese in microwave safe bowl and heat in microwave on high for 20 to 30 seconds (out of the wrapper of course!). Add sugar, cinnamon and vanilla to the cream cheese and mix well.
Fold in about 2/3 of the whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to assemble pizza.
Whisk pudding into milk. Mixture will be very thick. Stir in pumpkin, sugar and cinnamon. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
Spread cheese layer over the baked crust. Top with the pumpkin mixture. Spread the remaining whipped topping on top. You can spread those chopped pecans on top if you wish.
Enjoy your pumpkin pizza!
