Red Baron pizza offers a smaller, yet still decent selection for traditional and frozen pizza brands. Read our pizza review for this frozen pizza.
This brand of frozen pizza is a slightly smaller brand then DiGiorno pizza and Tombstone pizza, but still offers a decent, although definitely more limited, selection of frozen pizza.
This company was created by the Schwan Food Company, which also owns Freschetta and Tony's pizzas. You've probably seen a Schwan delivery truck in your neighborhood delivering all kinds of frozen foods. They're food is quite good if we say so ourselves, as is the Schwan brand frozen pizza.
Back to Red Baron...smaller, less options, but decent options. Offering mostly mainstream flavors and toppings, Red Baron does have a few unique pizzas such as Buffalo Chicken and Mexican Style.
Red Baron's price is in the mid-range area (about $6 per pizza).
This pizza does come in a smaller size, called Red Baron Singles, which include deep dish pizzas, french bread pizzas as well as Fire Baked Crust pizzas. We like!
Let's take a look at Red Baron's Supreme pizza next to Tombstone's Supreme pizza.
Serving Size: Tombstone 130g (1/5th of pizza) / Pizza 128g (1/5th of pizza)
You'll
see that the two pizzas are pretty similar in terms of fat and
calories. Tombstone wins points for having less saturated fat, but Red
Baron fares
better in the sodium department.
Preheat your oven with a cookie sheet in it. Place frozen pizza on the pre-heated cookie sheet for baking.
Is
it good pizza? Well, again...that's a matter of opinion. We'd love to
hear yours...
