I thought I'd try and recreate their white sauce, but to be honest, when I saw the ingredients in Domino's white sauce, I opted for the more simple, yet delicious recipe below.

Make A White Sauce At Home


What pizza toppings go with white sauce? Here are a few suggestions:

  • Grilled chicken
  • Sliced steak
  • Ham
  • Green peppers
  • Red onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Basil leaves
  • Spinach leaves
  • Mozzarella slices
  • Feta cheese
  • Tomato slices

Here's that white pizza sauce recipe...But first, a couple tips:

  • You can use dried basil instead of Italian seasoning if that's what you have on hand.
  • The sauce will get a bit thick if it sits too long. If that happens, don't fret. You can add a splash of milk and reheat it to thin it out a bit.

White Pizza Sauce

Note: use this as a yummy sauce on noodles as well.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbs. margarine or butter
  • 3 tbs. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese or shredded havarti

Directions:

Use a medium saucepan to melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the flour and mix together. Slowly add the milk to the pan, using a wire whisk to mix it well with the butter/flour mixture. Add all the other ingredients and stir until blended. Sauce will thicken as it stands.

Makes enough for one large pizza (or a plate of noodles!).
